Longarm Services
I currently offer Edge-to-edge designs. Edge-to-edge quilting can also be referred to as allover quilting--one design repeated row by row allover the quilt.
-
Economical! The current charge is $0.0275 per square inch; $50 minimum.
-
Efficient! Turnaround time is 2 weeks from receipt of quilt.
-
To estimate the cost of quilting for a project you have in mind, measure the length and width of the quilt and multiply. For example: 50" width x 65" length = 3,250 square inches x $0.0275 = $89.38.
-
A new needle, bobbins and 1 solid-colored thread is included in the psi price. Variegated thread is an extra $5.
-
Batting, if requested, can be added at market pricing. Backing can be added on a case to case situation.
Prepare Your Quilt for Machine Quilting

-
Check all seams. Repair any open seam
-
Press quilt top, first from the back to flatten all seams. Then press from the front. If you want to use a product like Best Press, you can. It gives the quilt a nice crisp finish.
-
Trim all loose threads.
-
Stay stitch around the quilt. This prevents the seams from pulling apart while your quilt is being quilted.
-
Ensure your backing and batting is 8” wider and 10” longer than your quilt top. For example: For a quilt 50"W x 65"L, your backing and batting should be 58"W x 75"L..
-
Juggling fullness in the backing and the quilt top all at once is tricky and can lead to tucks. Consider sending a wide back fabric for your backing. 108" wide fabric is generally cheaper too! If you choose to piece backing, take time to sew those long seams carefully. Cut yardage straight and square before joining segments.
-
Fold your quilt and quilt backing or hang on a hanger until you’re ready to have it quilted.
-
Pin a note to the top of your quilt and the top of the backing so we know the proper way to load it.
