"My experience with Kissed by Kate was incredible. I actually sent her pictures of my brother's artwork and she was able to create a quilt that beautifully replicated his work as a wedding gift. The finished product is such high quality. Couldn't reccommend her more!"

My client was looking for a wedding gift to give her brother and his new wife. She shared that her brother was an artist. His art is bold and contemporary. While not a tradition wedding style, my client and I thought this would be a perfect match!

United

Designed by Kate Dockham, Kissed by Kate Quilts

This baby quilt was made for a couple living in London, Dad is originally from Nigeria and Mom is from the United States. Not Only did I try to represent all 3 cultures, I played with texture in this project. The cream stripes and binding are corduroy; the dark blue is denim and the plaid on back is flannel.

Kate created a beautiful baby quilt for my daughter and her husband. She creatively incorporated three different nationalities and countries into the quilt by researching country flags, etc... and using those colors and symbols representing each country.
My daughter is thrilled with the beautiful quilt and the thought an d time that went into creating the heirloom. It's almost too beautiful to use.

Mr. Wilson's Tartan

Designed by Kate Dockham, Kissed by Kate Quilts

This client was looking for a Christmas gift for her husband. When talking the comment that sparked my mind was of his love for Scotland. I asked for his Clan name and started researching! This is my recreation of his clan's tartan. The thin stipes are gross grain ribbon, giving the quilt dome texture, If you click on the picture you'll see castles, thistles, stars and the Loch Ness monster. All things that tie back to the couple.

Mary Poppins

Designed by Kate Dockham, Kissed by Kate Quilts

My former K-8 school puts on a play every year and they are truly well done productions. The Mary Poppins quilt was created for a raffle supporting their Drama Program. Upon watching Mary Poppins, yes for the first time, I decided the kite quilt block would be perfect! Two of the fabrics are Disney licensed. The border and binding fabric I had special made for the project. Truly a labor of love!

Thanks so much for the great work on my new quilt.! The way you laid out all my T-shirts was very creative.  The T-shirts have a lot of sentimental value to me and its so great to have them preserved in this way. Also, the quality of my finished quilt is top-notch so I know it will be a treasured keepsake for years to come!

A History of Running

Designed by Kate Dockham, Kissed by Kate Quilts

Steve, an acquaintance of mine, called and said his wife was tired of looking at all of his old t-shirts, could I do something with them? Sure, I replied.  When I picked up two large bags full of t-shirts from running events, I knew this project was going to be special.  It was Steve who suggested making the quilt double sided and I loved the idea. It made me so happy to help honor this piece of Steve's life!
